Lucas is a Chartered Accountant and graduated with distinction from QUT with a Bachelor of Business (Accountancy) degree in 2000.

​Lucas began his career at SBS in 1999 and specialises in assisting clients with tax minimisation, asset protection and business structuring.

Outside of SBS, Lucas enjoys playing & coaching football (soccer) and spending time with his young family.

Claire is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia (ICAA). She graduated from QUT with a Bachelor of Business (Accountancy) degree in 2007.

​Claire has been a member of the SBS team since 2002 and provides taxation services, business acquisition, structuring & management advice to a large range of small to large business clients.

In her free time, Claire enjoys cycling with her husband, travelling, eating; and playing with her 18month old daughter Charlotte and two very high energy Frenchies – Peanut & Panda.

Gerard graduated from the Queensland University of Technology (QUT) with a Bachelor of Business (Accountancy — distinction) in 1991. He also has a Graduate Diploma in Advanced Accounting from QUT.

Gerard has over 35 years experience in providing advice on business and taxation matters for corporate structures, family trust, partnerships and individuals.

Gerard enjoys flying aeroplanes in his spare time. He recently achieved his multi-engine class instrument rating which he says was quite a challenge.

Belinda is a member of CPA Australia. She graduated from Monash University in 2000 with a Graduate Diploma in accountancy and previous to that in 1996 she graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Science (Statistics).

Belinda has been working with Specialised Business Solutions since 1997, providing business and taxation advice.

In her spare time Belinda enjoys Pilates, volunteering at school and spending time with her young family.

​Andrew joined SBS in 2001, and now has over 20 years’ experience as part of the team. Andrew completed a Bachelor of Commerce in Financial Planning and Investments (Accountancy), graduating in 2006.

Andrew provides accounting and taxation advice to clients, and is also one of the SMSF specialists within the SBS team; assisting client to establish, administer and operate their self-managed super fund. He enjoys using his technical knowledge and experience to provide assistance to clients when it comes to tax, business structures, Centrelink entitlements and superannuation. Over the course of his tenure, he has also spent a year working in London, and another year working from France.

In his spare time, Andrew previously worked as an online cricket commentator at the Gabba, and currently enjoys playing football, tennis and cricket; and supporting the Brisbane Roar. He also enjoys travel and being outdoors – favourite activities include hiking, snowboarding, and cross-country skiing.

​Laurin began working at SBS in 2012 and provides assistant accounting and bookkeeping services to a range of small to large business clients. She also oversees ASIC Corporate Services at SBS.

​In her spare time, Laurin loves exploring different bushwalks with her husband, and enjoys playing touch footy and volleyball. As a music enthusiast, she also loves playing and listening to music.

Tom started with SBS in 2009 in the Business Services Team working with a range of clients. He has since spent time working at other firms in Brisbane including the Big 4. Tom returned to SBS in 2013 and brings with him experience in several areas key to individual and small business clients. He is passionate about working closely with his clients to develop trust through a genuine care for their individual and business tax needs.  Tom is also a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia (ICAA).

​In his spare time Tom plays squash and is a mad fan of just about all things sport. He also enjoys spending time outdoors with his young family, whether it’s bike riding, fishing or camping.

Michelle is a Chartered Accountant and graduated with Bachelors of Commerce/Laws from the University of Queensland.

Michelle started at SBS in 2012 and enjoys engaging with clients and supporting them with all their accounting, business and taxation needs.

Her interests outside of work include spending time with family, travelling, walking trails and food.

As the Administration Manager, Marie is one of the first friendly faces to greet you at reception.

​Since 2012, Marie has enjoyed being a part of the energetic SBS team and is committed to assisting you with any enquiries.

Outside of SBS, Marie enjoys painting and is a member of the local Art West Community Gallery. She also loves being with family, walking her fur baby ‘Coco’ the French bulldog, traveling, cooking & listening to music.

Marie’s art mission in life is to be creative, and to experience as many art genres as possible. She feels being creative helps her relax, and it’s so much fun.

Melannie started with SBS in 2018 caring for the ASIC Corporate Services.

She enjoys camping, the beach, being with friends and family, cooking, eating and growing her cactus family. Melannie and her husband Dave also love to renovate and be involved in volunteer construction work.
